I was invited to attend a small gathering at the Canadian paraplegic Association to celebrate Aboriginal Awareness Day. Apart from feasting on Bannock, I got to hear some native drumming, of which a sample is attached. I learned that there are 16 main stories that are told during these drumming sessions. This recording is part of a story of a young hunter who was killed on his wedding day, and his bride throws herself off a cliff in despair. Charming!
